Easy to set up, very light weight, i think it’ll be great for me as an upcoming youtuber. Unboxing video will be on my channel soon (PrettygirlCah). Didn’t come with much considering i got the basic camera package ( no tripod, no memory card, no case / accessories) only a strap, battery, and camera with the charger. Worth it though!

I was exited at first but when I realized that its photo quality was much worse than my old galaxy s8 I was majorly let down. How sad when the phone cost less and has a better camera with a million more features.

As someone who is always traveling, at concerts and walking around, I LOVE this camera! It has been my go to before I even get my phone out. I have a new iphone... so that's saying something. The mode options have helped me get the right settings in a fast pace, so that I do not have to change it manually! I loved taking pictures on my DSLR, but always had troubles carrying it around. Now I do not have to worry about that with this camera(:

This camera is fantastic. I’m a novice so I use the auto feature and the photos are incredible. Also, the pop-up flash is great, very little to no red eye with it and you have the option for red eye reduction. You also get an EVF which is rare in cameras today. Lastly, if you have a pocket, you can carry this camera in it....it’s nice and compact. The pics are great as an added bonus!

I have the previous 2020 Cyber shot (HX 80) and recently purchased this one because the HX80 wasn't functioning consistently after a few years of possible rough use (birding photos, family and pet photos mostly but I may have dropped it once or twice though I'm not remembering any instances right now) and would only turn on with the "play" button, would turn off by itself while in use and if I used it for more than one outing/event per day I relatively recently started having to charge the battery throughout the day as it would die relatively quickly. I like it because it fits in my cargo pants pocket and is easily retrievable when a photo opportunity arises. I went through three versions of a Nikon Coolpix from ~ 2012 - 2020 and really liked my Coolpix A900 (last one I had), but they don't make them anymore and this camera is one of the few I could find from a reputable brand that would easily fit in my pocket and was in my price range. There was at least one update to the HX99, most notably a touch screen that allows you to double tap an image larger or back to its original size, but it won't let you increase or decrease the size of the image with your fingers after a double tap enlarges an image and you instead have to use the zoom "trigger" to achieve incremental increases or decreases which I found a bit odd. It does let you move an image around with your fingers though. In the now three years I've had a Cyber shot I have never used the pop-up viewfinder after initially checking it out after purchase; it's petty much useless for me, maybe not for others though. A noticeable change is the size memory card the HX99 uses, a micro card, so you have to use a supplied adapter (size of a standard camera memory card) for download onto a PC.

Camera feels durable and well made. Ease of use is very nice. Video & picture quality is great if you know what you’re doing with settings. Overall the camera is great. Only negative thing I can think of goes with taking video. Like most other point and shoot cameras this cyber shot only records video for so long before auto stopping. 4K is about 5 minutes and lower qualities get longer times. There is no way to change this in settings, but you can get used to it after a while because it is predictable

This is the perfect balance between a simple point-and-shoot and a high end DSLR. Plenty of features. My wife loves the screen flipping, the zoom and the size. There are some other expensive options from Sony, but I think this is the one for the casual and semi-professional photographer.

The zoom is far and that's why I bought it, but it gets quite difficult to keep the focus steady the farther you zoom. Picture is average for photos of faraway subjects. Nearer subjects will look better. Macros are very sharp and easy to shoot. The camera body is very compact and easily pocketable.

Sony HX99. There's a very wide range of cameras available. If you want a small camera that fits in your shirt pocket (about the size of a thick cell phone), but has better than cell phone picture quality, and quality camera features, then consider this camera. Rugged build, 30x zoom, evf, Sony OS, 4k video, etc. Use your cell phone camera for every day. Use this camera on vacation for better photos and minimum added bulk.

This little camera has a lot of great features and capabilities. I was looking into older RX-100 models, but found this was just about to release (early Nov 2018) and kept tabs on it. It has more than enough packed into this small chassis for my needs and is less than half the price of the current gen RX-100 (though would still love one in the future). Glad I picked this one up for myself this holiday!

Light weight, easy to use camera - great to take on a trip when one is concerned with luggage weight. Met all my requirements for a simple camera to take vacation pictures.

Sleek and compact, this 4K recording camera has excellent zoom and high quality image resolution for its size and lens aperture. Sony’s image processing is superb and really second to none.

I had purchased a Nikon D3500 about year prior to this purchase. It is a very nice camera. But, the lens length would not allow me to get far away shots. So, I was going to purchase a long lens for it -- but when I shopped for them they were very expensive. So, I went to my favorite camera company, Sony, and I found this great camera. It has a lens that can go from macro to very distant, and it is portable. I like that I can take my camera with me again. I had smaller cameras in the past, but the new Nikon, while it takes great pictures, was not easily carried everywhere. I am discounting the Nikon, just that this one fits my needs better. I highly recommend any Sony camera, especially if it has the Carl Zeiss lens.

this is a small technical wander, which fits in the pocket. Amazing zoom. 4k video, excellent quality photo. Just perfect for traveling.

This is the Best travel camera you can buy. It’s packed with so many features along with a telephoto lens with plenty of power. 24mm to 720mm and if you want more, digital too.You can’t this little beast.

I have used Sony Cyber-shot cameras for years and have always been completely satisfied. My recent purchase of the HX99 is no exception. What a great little camera! You can't beat a Zeiss lens for quality photographs and the 30x zoom is amazing for a camera that fits in a pocket! Sony is constantly upgrading their cameras with the latest technology and the HX99 has lots of new features to explore.
