This is my review of the Wybot A1 pool robot, which I got to clean both my Hot Springs Grandee hot tub as well as my 16x32ft inground pool. The Wybot arrived just as Winter Storm Fern was wreaking havoc here in west central Tennessee, creating inches thick of ice over my pool cover and hot tub cover, so I apologize for the delayed review; I try to get them in as quickly as possible so others can make informed decisions. Now that I at least have the hot tub back up and running, I can post this review. The Wybot A1 is extremely simple to use from the minute you take it out of the box. You charge it for a few hours, with a helpful battery gauge showing the level of charge. Once charged, The quick-start guide has you up and running in seconds, just unplug from the charger, attach the paddle, and go. My hot tub, being just a few feet from my house, collects particles from the shingles which are a pain to get rid of. I have tried smaller hand held pool vacuums for this which don’t do a very good job, it’s very tedious. I set the Wybot A1 in my hot tub, put it on the shortest time setting, started it up, and walked away. 15 minutes later, it had picked up every single grain of shingle material, not a spec left! Attached are before and after pictures. Now, for the big pool, I have a corded Dolphin Premier which works very well, but doesn’t always do a good job on the smallest particles. I think the Wybot is going to work great as a spot cleaner in the pool, especially on the steps and near the walls, and I will post a follow up review once pool season starts to judge it in these circumstances. There’s a night and day difference between corded pool cleaners that cost thousands of dollars and the little Wybot A1, and it’s not fair to compare the 2 side by side as equals. You aren’t getting the same suction from a battery powered anything compared to something that runs on AC. You’ll get diminished power as the Wybot runs the battery down. And when the battery dies, you’ll wait a few hours for it to recharge. The Wybot isn’t going to climb walls like the corded pool cleaners do. You can’t run the Wybot on a schedule. Keep all of this in mind if you are in the market for a pool cleaner. If you have a large pool or an inground pool and you intend for a pool cleaner to clean the entire thing in one run, this isn’t the product for you. Having said all that, this machine does a great job on smaller areas. Perfect in a hot tub. I think it would be great in a small to medium sized inground pool. So all things considered, I give this product 4 stars, and my recommendation if your application is indeed a smaller pool.

It sucks because every time you clean it and put it back together.It doesn't fit on properly.So you have to stand outside and the pouring down rain, get your butt soaking wet and you can never get it backed on and I don't want to break the stupid thing and spend an hour.The other one plugged in, I pulled a basket out cleaned it put the basket back in.I was in in five minutes.I was out there last night in the rain for an hour and a half and I still can't get it back together so i'm returning it

This review is for the Wybot - A1 Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner. This unit may be small but it is a workhorse. Unboxing you will find there is not too much to do, it comes fully assembled. Just have to remove some tape and do a quick charge and you are good to go. No app or programming needed. Just charge and turn it loose in your pool. I love that it is fully cordless and hose less. So no set up time and it won't get tangled on itself like my other pool cleaner. Just drop it in your pool and watch it do it's thing. Once finished just attach the supplied quick connect hook that goes on the end of your pool stick to hook and grab the unit. I've have a robotic pool cleaner for the last two years now and don't think I can't live without one now. It has saved me so much time and energy. This Wybot A1 is lightweight ,easy to use and clean out. Picks up everything from leafs down to sand and helps keep the algae away also. If you have been on the fence about getting a robotic pool cleaner just do it you will not regret it.

Lightweight and does the job. This cordless pool floor cleaner is great. It's easy to use straight out of the box. Charger and wall plug included. The pool floor cleaner can work for up to 90 minutes. Once it's fully charged you drop it in the pool and away it goes. It roams around the pool cleaning the dirt and leaves on the floor. Once it's done , it goes to the neartest wall and shuts off. The unit comes with a hook that can be screwed on to a pool screen cleaner. This hook is to hook on to the unit to pull it out of the pool. This makes it easy and convenient to pull the unit out. The unit has an internal filter that can and should be emptied out after every use. It's an easy disassemble of the unit and easy to empty out and clean the filter. The unit has a colored display that indicates the total charge of the unit. The unit seems sturdy and well made. It's not heavy and easy to pick up. This pool floor cleaner is a great addition to the pool maintenance equipment. I would recommend this product to anyone in the market or curious to try one out.

Unboxing was simple removed the accessories and unwrapped the Wybot from its plastic bag. Includes the device with filter trays, a charger and flipper. Insert the flipper on to the unit, then I recommend opening the bottom half of the device which is held by two large clips on either side. At the bottom the tray remove the silicone beads before use. Then charge the battery before first use by removing the rubber plug. That’s it for setup….no apps, WiFi or anything else to connect/prep. Simple to use with only one button for operation. Hold the button down for a second to turn on the device and the battery level will immediately display in green by the 4 led lights which will then switch to purplish colors. Once the leds are purple this is when you can select your cleaning cycle . Directions are a bit confusing here but essentially one light at the 1/1 level is for a full 120 min run, then 2/2 is for two 60 min runs each run delayed by 24 hours, 3/3 is 3 40 min runs over 3 days with 24 hr delay, and 4/7is 4 30 minute runs with 48 hour delays. All cycle delays are 24 hours expect for the 4/7 which operates the device on day 1, 3, 5, and 7. I believe the 4/7 is so you get a full week of cleaning with what’s available in battery life. Once you select your cleaning cycle place the cleaner in the pool vertically using the handle. The device will automatically take it from there by landing on the bottom, running an auto calibration and then watch her run. Once completed or if the battery is low it will park itself next to the wall. I have to say the battery only advertises 2 hours of use…… I wish it offered more especially for the amount of extra space available inside. The filter setup is simple, one tray is made of cotton/foam and the course filter is 180um. Good for taking debris off the floor of your pool. These filters are made to be washed with a hose and only one set of filters are included. A hook is included which connects to a pool pole so can easily lift the device out….the vac operates without cords. I noticed this device is very simple and lightly constructed. A drop of the device not in water would most likely brake something. I’m not a fan of the flap looks like it can break super easy as well, one flap is provided and it’s how the device moves back and fourth. This is like a basic Roomba…it just flys around trying to clean everything. It also does not clean the pool walls and does not have a brush on the bottom …It won’t brush up anything green and will just pick up debris. Not sure the life expectancy of this device. Overall a simple device, I would not recommend this to someone who needs a full on pool vac this would be good for a small pool where you just need some help and doing the rest of the maintenance old school / by hand.

After reading the quick start guide, I realized how easy it was to use this device. I have a few friends that have pools and they are always complaining about scheduling pool cleaning service. So I got this to help with their service in between services. It’s super easy to use. After fully charging it and installing the upper lever, all you have to do is immerse the device into the pool gently. It will eventually just drop to the bottom and it hasn’t ever turned fully over and not ready to run so it is proportionate and weight. All you have to do is wait for the device auto collaboration for 15 seconds and then it’ll start flashing blue and start to clean. It’s pretty cool to see It stay so well attached to the pool floor and bump into the walls only to turn around and keep moving. Then I started to wonder how am I going to get this out of the water but it includes a hook that will attach to a standard pool pole. The main thing I was concerned about is cleaning the filter but it’s just detaching the top from the bottom and make sure the filter is free of debris and then you are ready to use it again after recharging it. Super easy and I like the design.

So far only used a couple of times but this little robot has saved me so much time. Cleaned the bottom with no problems. Quick and easy to clean out the filter.

I bought this for my husband, I was thrilled to eliminate him doing the majority of pool vacuuming. What this vacuum does get up is wonderful & leaves a clean path behind it, but it tends to just stop after about 5 minutes & not going very far. Stops & sits in one spot until it does. Attempted to return, but bestbuy return window is 15 days, unless you pay a membership fee...shady, but ok.

Doesn’t stay charged &doesn’t clean the pool good at all

Used 1 time and now doesnt work. Past the return window. So guess i am out luck. Contacted wybot but not excpeting much out of them. Dont waste your money on this

Complete garbage. I guess what you’d expect for the price but this thing is completely useless. Not sure how it’s gotten good reviews but this is complete garbage. Extremely cheap build quality and horrendous performance

Packaging was awesome and protected the item from potential damage in shipping well. Additionally, unboxing was straightforward and all items needed to start were clear to understand and not hidden away in the packaging. Setup was easy. Took about 15 minutes to understand the features. My pool is a modest size and it cleaned the floor and slope easily. Battery lasted as long as advertised at about 2 hours. Pool is about 600 sqft and it cleaned it easily on a charge. When battery gets low it appeared to move to the edge of the pool allowing for an easy pickup of the device. It appears peaked to get any debris off the bottom of the pool easily. Recharging is quick and easy. The bot is super light and made it easy to pickup. Status led are easy to understand. Overall the experience beats my expectations. Most pool owners understand how obnoxious cleaning your pool is depending on the season and how frequently it is used, this bot takes care of the time consuming process of cleaning your pool!

Didn't work out of the box, absolutely zero support from wybot since I didn't order it directly from them and it's past the 2 week window for a return to best buy. The thing on full charge runs for about 1 minute and then just stops and all the lights go out. Will never purchase a wybot item again

Good debris cleaner for bottom of pool. Not a bad item for cleaning the debris of sand and dirt off the bottom of the pool. No need to run a vaccumm out to waste. This little guy charges and will run for about an hour. is has a simple port on its belly and navigates across the bottom of the pool to collect. It will have issue with larger items such as large leaves and what not. So you will still have to screen those type of things from the pool prior. But then just chuck this little guy in and let it go. Setup is just sealling the charge port and cleening the filters. It snaps together from 2 parts. with a a filter inbetween. It did a decent job of pickup up items across the bottom. I almost want a teather rather than the pole extraction. They do provide the hook. But you will have to get a pole. Which was a miss for me. I have poles for screen and brush. So I had to go get another one for this machine. Otherwise, it worked OK. and the pricing isn't bad.Not sure about durability. Itsn't mostly plastic and a rubber sealed charging port on the top.

I can sum up the Wybot A1 with one word. Meh. The vacuum works and moves around the pool at a pretty good pace but it seems to only like to travel along the same curve all the time. It will go forward and curve to the right as it goes then retrace the same path in the reverse direction. The only time it really changed lines is when it ran into the stairs fairly aggressively and jumped off the floor of the pool. It also altered its path when it got stuck on the pool drain, though it stayed there for a minutes before working itself loose. It also has a tendency to blow debris everywhere with it's 'exhaust' when it changes direction. It's not all bad with this unit as it does pick up most of what it drives over. The leaf basket is pretty limited in size but is easy enough to access and clean out. Charging was also fine and it held charge long enough to do two 'passes' on the pool. Overall it's an okay option for picking up bulk leaves, but it won't be replacing my pool pump powered vacuum for daily use.

I’ll be honest about my use case. My typical Best Buy tech insider reviews are for products that I intend to keep (or at least use long enough until I can purchase a new one). I claimed the WYBOT A1 for review because my sister recently had an in ground heated pool installed, and I don’t personally own a pool. Since she lives about an hour away, this review is based on my hands-on experience at her house for a day, as well as her feedback after using it consistently for about 2 weeks. It’s also worth mentioning that I received the product during the winter in New Jersey, so testing was delayed due to the snow storms, work, and cold weather. Once we finally had the opportunity to bring it over, the setup was incredibly straightforward. It didn’t feel complicated or overly technical, which I appreciated. We put it into her pool, and it began cleaning without any real learning curve. Something my sister immediately noticed was how quiet it was compared to her corded cleaner. It moved smoothly along the pool floor and didn’t wander aimlessly. The navigation system felt controlled, and it effectively picked up visible debris such as dirt and small leaves without any issues. After the initial test, I left the cleaner with my sister since it’s her pool. Her feedback over the week has been overwhelmingly positive. She particularly appreciated the cordless design, as it eliminates the hassle of tangled hoses and wires. Additionally, she mentioned that it’s easy to remove, rinse out, and put back in for the next cleaning cycle. Overall, even though I’m reviewing this from a shared-use perspective, it has proven to be a practical and low-maintenance cleaner for a standard residential in-ground pool. Its quiet operation, simplicity of use, and convenience for routine upkeep make it an excellent choice for pool maintenance. 5/5
