When you use a PlayStation 5 external hard drive to amass a large game collection, you’ll certainly want to take full advantage your console’s processing power. Upgrade your gaming TV to meet the abilities of your PS5 console if it doesn’t already. Make sure the settings for resolution and refresh rate match the output from your console. A nice PS5 headset will help create a fully immersive effect while a high-quality gaming chair can keep you comfortable during long gaming sessions.
If you are choosing a new PlayStation 5 console, one main component in the decision is whether you want access to games you own on disc. Older PS4 game discs are compatible with the PS5 Slim console, which has a disc drive, so you don’t have to invest in new digital copies. If, however, you are going fully digital, you have a choice between the PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro console. The Pro increases processing power and doubles your storage space—though you might not need all that extra storage with a hard drive for PS5 games.
