Versatile video and digital still shooting modes to record full-resolution video, compressed Motion-JPEG files ready to e-mail, plus standard and high-resolution digital photos recorded onto MiniDV tape or memory card
Integrated image stabilizer; Progressive Photo mode with mechanical shutter functionality and interlace-scan CCD to eliminate the typical 1/60-sec. time lag, freezing sharp still images with remarkably little blurring or smearing
Advanced photo features: simultaneous video recording and photo capture, 3-point selectable autofocus frames, auto exposure bracketing, continuous shooting (30 images at 3 fps in VGA, 10 images at 2 fps in SXGA), StitchAssist mode with included software
Program AE with Auto, Sports, Portrait, Spotlight, Sand & Snow, Low Light and Night modes; additional camera settings include Super Night and Low Light Plus (card camera mode only)
SD/MMC card slot allows expanded storage; record both digital stills and short video clips directly to Secure Digital or MultiMediaCard memory (8MB SD card included)
Creative digital effects (color, art, black-and-white, sepia, mosaic, mirror, ball, cube, wave), fades (trigger, vertical wipe, window, flip, tide, puzzle, beam, zigzag and jump) and special effects (Card Mix with supplied SD card, multi-image screen)
Multiple connection options: IEEE 1394-compliant DV in/out terminal, USB interface for image and video transfer from memory card to computer, S-video input and output, audio terminal, analog line-in converter (USB and video cables included)
Direct-from-memory photo printing without a computer when connected to compatible Canon Card Photo and Bubble Jet Photo printers (cable included); camcorder includes built-in trimming and other editing functions
