Crock-Pot - 3.5-Quart Slow Cooker - Black & white pattern

Bought it for my daughter and she loves it!!! She gets dinner started in the morning and by the time my son in law gets home from work, the house smells good and dinner is ready. The children love it because it makes the meat SO tender!

This slow cooker is beautiful, practical and cooks evenly. And most importantly perfect for making dishes to go. The locking lid makes travel stress free. The size is perfect for most casseroles i.e.green bean casseroles, or baked chicken dishes, and the cookbook that comes with it explains how. The inset dish is heavy but the lightweight durable frame makes it easy to lift and carry. Also when traveling the extra weight helps to keep it from shifting. You can also use the inset dish to bake in the oven, like a sweet potato casserole, then transport with the frame and locking lid , and once you have reached your destination you can plug it in and reheat on warm if needed - saving your hostess' oven for her entrees and sides. If making soups or chili the shape is not conducive - deep round would be better but for the holiday bake and take this is superb! Well worth the money and easy clean up! I would have give it 5 stars if the inset was not as heavy and it was suitable for soups and stews. But other than that, it is a five star product.

I made homemade lasagna using my oven recipe. There was too much liquid and the end product was loose. I made it again and drained the canned tomatoes. The end product was firm, moist and very good. The low cooking temperatures allow the flavors to develop much better than oven cooking. The removable ceramic crock and the lid go in the dishwasher, The cord is wrapped around posts on the back of the heating unit. Crock-Pot hit a home run with this product.

What a coincidence that you ask for my review when I first turned on this unit at 2 am yesterday. I followed certain directions that I found to slow cook a basic recipe of a small roast for eight hours before adding potatoes and onions at the fifth hour or so. Now that my confidence in the process is now established, I am researching other recipes and dishes to expand my talents and to be better prepared as to what to shop for during my next visit at the grocery store. Take heed to the quick setup directions to read ALL directions before using. There are a couple of minor, but necessary, caveats to be aware of when using this appliance. The low and high settings alleviates the guesswork of temperature settings on a conventional oven even though this appliance does not seem large enough to accommodate a regular sized Holiday turkey.

I had been looking at this for a while and finally decided to goet one for myself and both my daughter in laws. Well, it was a HUGE hit! We ALL used them at Thanksgiving for various things.... Corn Casseroll, Cuban Tamales, and Stuffing. Worked great on everything! All the relatives were checking them out and the consensus was FINALLY a wide rather than deep crockpot! Great for casserolls, meat entrees, and lasagna. Thank you Crockpot!!!

I got this for tailgating and carrying hot messy food. The rectangular shape is great for meatballs, chicken wings, things that don't need to be crowded. I was waiting for locks so that traveling with food would be easy. Wonderful design and great locks.

I do not know how I got along without this. The main lesson in cooking meats, especially tougher beef and pork, is to decide whether to cook slow (8-10 hours) on low or cook fast (4-6 hours) on high. I like the former, but the online recipes will assist in recommending which is optimal for whatever the project is. This is a must have for every kitchen. Actually, the online sales price caught my attention on this item.

I had been wanting this for sometime. Decided since I was having a crowd for the Holidays , I would purchase. Works great for casserole and for keeping ham good for guests. I actually had a guest ask to borrow since she was not able to make it to the store to purchase. She plans to purchase after the Holidays.
