GE - Spacemaker 18" Built-In Dishwasher - Black

The washer holds less than my previous dishwasher of the same size. the interior is flimsy, with a cutlery holder that is made out of scrap plastic (or at least it looks and feels that way). the shelves aren't sturdy. overall, spend another few hundred to get something better. had i been able to see and feel the quality before purchasing (19" washers aren't available in the store showroom), there is absolutely no way i would have purchased the flimsy piece of junk. with haul away and installation, the whole thing cost $850! that is way too much to spend on an appliance that isn't built as well as a the easy bake oven i had when i was 9 yrs old. Truly, this is really pathetic quality.

This dishwasher provides basic functionality. To turn on the different cycles, you need to move the dial clockwise. You can only move the dial in this direction. In order to get to light / gentle cycle, you need to move past the other cycles, you can hear them start / stop as you pass over them. The width of the dishwasher is slightly wider at the top (control section). This makes the gaps next to the cabinet wider at the bottom and tighter at the top. The dishwasher does give off some noise. The dishwasher does do a good job of cleaning dishes. It has a heated dry option which is great because they come out dry. Although the dishwasher is compact, you can get a lot of dishes inside it. You will get much more dishes in if you don't include larger items such as mixing bowls and serving trays. But it can accommodate some big items. I purchased this dishwasher from BestBuy.com. It went on sale shortly after I purchased it. I contacted customer service and they immediately gave me the difference in price. They were VERY helpful – great service.
