Great Smartbells, but requires subscription
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really amazing dumbells and wonderful design. Best adjustable dumbells I've used thus far. The fact that it's electric is something to consider when buying. If the lights go out, you won't be able to change the weight. But that's not a concern of mine. The weights change pretty quickly, about 5 seconds max to go from 12lbs to 50lbs. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that all the cool aspects like rep monitoring and stats require a $12/mo subscription to their app service. I guess I overlooked that when reading about this, but it was a bummer to see. I would understand a subscription to see their workouts, but to pay additionally for something that was the main selling point for an already expensive 'smartbell' (these ain't dumb) was very, very disappointing.

Pretty good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a good dumbbell. The knurling is okay, not too passive or aggressive. It does change weight much slower than a lot of similar products like the nuobell and doesn’t go as heavy as something like loadable dumbbells. But it does do the middle of the road very well. It’s fast enough and heavy enough for me. I think PowerBlocks are a better value for just weight and ease, especially because you can upgrade them and add more weight but they don’t feel like a traditional dumbbell like these do. This does however offer other cool features that other non-digital products don’t.

Great for home workouts
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.JAXJOX DumbbellConnect™ - Adjustable Dumbbell Pair Included- 1 pair of JAXJOX adjustable dumbbells, 2 USB-C cords, 2 stands Especially with the pandemic happening, and our gyms closed and reopening multiple times, this set of JAXJOX Dumbbells are great for in home use when you can't hit your gym. They're small and compact for the range of weights which is great when you're tight on space. The dumbbells range in weight from 8-50 pounds. All you need to do is make sure they're set in the base, push the up or down arrow which adjusts the weight in increments of 6 pounds. Then the system will shorten or extend the bar and add or subtract the amount of weights set. Pair it with the JAXJOX app for the ultimate experience. It's very easy to use. You can build a personalized profile and then provides very helpful information- can make your own schedule, track your workouts, see your results, take coached classes to learn form and technique. There is also a Premium version that offers customized workouts - $13/mo. There is a 30 day free trial available. I like how they are convenient. You can work out right when you feel like it right where you are. The JAXJOX don't take up much space at all at about 30.5" x 9.5" x 21". The design is very simple and is very easy to use. I like the adjustability and variety of the weights. It's really good for someone that is a beginner or lifting weight is low or up to someone who is more serious about their workouts and lifts daily with a higher amount. My one complaint is that some of the individual plates feel slightly loose when the weight moves around, which makes heavier reps more difficult. So if the plates were completely secure, it would be a little better. But overall, they are great to have at home when you can't hit the gym.

Great idea, needs perfecting
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great concept it’s just not practical if you’re actually using it to do durable workouts. It’s made of plastic so you’ll see the scratches and dents not to mention it’s hard to slide in when you’re using the 50 pounds limit. That been said I love the concept

Q: QuestionDoes this contain two dumbbell handles or just one? The description is a little confusing as it states both that this is a 100 pound set, but also only says that this product contains 16 weights and weighs 53 pounds. Which is it?
Asked by Jeremy.
- A:Answer 2 dumbbells each 50lbs - together would be 100lbs - on each dumbbell there are 16 weights which equal 50lbs. I hope this helped.

Q: QuestionAre the dumbbells base stand battery powered? If so how long does the battery last, and will I still be able to change weights if the battery is dead?
Asked by Evan.
- A:Answer They are rechargeable battery stands that use a type-c USB charging port. They also come included with a cord per stand, but they're pretty short in my opinion and I'm using a 6ft cable that I bought for my Note 10+. If the base is dead you can't adjust the weights.

Q: QuestionDo you have to subscribe to the App to get tracking information from the set?
Asked by Ed.
- A:Answer You have to have the app but not the monthly subscription.

Q: QuestionI dont see a weight to the dumbbells. What is the lowest and highest weight each dumbbell goes to?
Asked by Paul.
- A:Answer The lowest is 8 lbs and the highest is 50 lbs. Make sure you charge the bases with the weights in them first.

Q: QuestionI have mismatch weight on both my dumbbells. I thought a simple reset would fix the issue, but the base is not responsive. The manual is very vague. Please help!
Asked by MismatcMali.
- A:Answer Good luck. Trash

Q: QuestionWill the dumbells function if there's a power failure with battery depletion?
Asked by G.
- A:Answer No, they won't adjust without being charged. As far as the bar holding the plates with the weight it had prior to power loss I can't say for sure but mine held the 20lbs it was set on when the base died, but it felt a bit loose or much more loose to my liking.
