Unbelievable sound

Nice little speaker/charger for old iPod

I can listen to music from my older iPod (has no Bluetooth) and downloaded books from my iPhone while I'm working in the kitchen. Sound quality not great, but good enough for my purposes.

Great Sounding Speakers, Alarm Clock - not so much

Unfortunately, I bought this primarily for an alarm clock. The first day I used it as an alarm clock I overslept. Why? The app has to be open and running for the alarm to work. The second day I overslept. Why? Not only does the app have to be running, but also you have to make sure the "auto off" function on the speaker dock is not in use. Too many hurdles for use as an alarm clock. Again, absolutely love the sound the speakers produce.

The sound quality and power made the experience very memorable while sharing it with friends when I first used it. Since then has made a great gift to my mom as she finds it easy to use, charging her iPhone and playing her music.
