Samsung - 32" Class N5300 Series LED Full HD Smart Tizen TV (2018)

We purchased this TV to replace our 29" Samsung when the picture died. Unfortunately a 29" wasn't available. The new 32" TV works well. I miss the sleep button that the old remote had where I could press it to have the TV turn off in 30 minutes up to 180 minutes. The old TV had 30 minute increments. This remote does not have the sleep button. Since this is a smart TV, I believe the sleep button was replaced by the Amazon prime video button. Finding the sleep button takes several steps and it can only be set for 30, 60, 120, or 180 minutes for the TV to shut off. I am still learning the settings and menu on this TV. We thought the price was good and the picture is good. The only suggestion I would make is if purchasing a wall mount make sure the holes on the mount will line up and clear the component output connections. We purchased the Sanus model BSF316-B1 and the holes did not line up with the holes on the back of the TV. The mount covered up the component output connections. You can see in the firs picture how the mount is a little to close to the right output connection. Fortunately, we rotated the old mount we had for this TV 90 degrees so the larger opening cleared the component output connections. The old Sanus mount that we had is the one I have pictured here. We purchased two of these TVs and the Sanus mount we bought for the 2nd TV didn't line up. We put an older Samsung TV on the new mount and used the older mount that is pictured here for the second Samsung 32" Class N5300 that we purchased. Pleasantly surprised to find the Samsung 32" N5300 among the open box inventory during a recent visit. The television was in mint condition, not a scratch or sign of prior use. Perfect standalone streaming option that doesn't require the cost of an additional cable box. The set connects easily to WiFi and most apps you would want are preinstalled. Once you login to your cable subscription, you have all your cable channels (you just can't record anything, but that's fine for a spare screen when you want to stream in another room and want something larger than your phone or tablet.) One (small) gripe is the lack of bluetooth to use wireless speakers or headphones. However, this is easily resolved by adding a bluetooth transmitter/receiver. There are many inexpensive options (some under $15). Some are even portable and rechargeable and only require an HDMI port and no additional power source. One other issue was getting the software to update. At first, the option was greyed out on the menu, but I went back to the store and the salesperson I spoke with (who happened to be the customer service manager -- she was brilliant!) instructed me to unplug the set and access the menu again. Worked like a charm! The picture quality and build is exactly what you'd expect from Samsung, even on a smaller screen. Sound is great on wireless speakers. Glad I went with this instead of the lower priced 32" options -- the open box put this in the same price range.

I purchased the Samsung - 32" Class N5300 Series LED Full HD Smart Tizen TV about a month ago and the TV itself is wonderful, It has very good picture quality with a vivid balance of rich colors, picture perfect light and dark contrast & is a pleasure to watch. The sound quality of the unit is about all you can expect on a TV of this design, but all in all is easy on the ears with a clear balance of sound. I used the digital optical output to an external sound bar to improve the audio experience. This TV lacks a headphone output which some people might miss. I use the Samsung Smart TV feature often & it steams via WiFi perfectly. Now for the bad, and I mean really bad in my opinion. Whoever approved the design of the remote control should be fired or at very least be given a mandatory course in ergonomics. It’s nearly unusable with it’s dozens & dozens of tiny, small buttons clustered on a very small sized remote control unit. This is way beyond people having fat finger syndrome trying to navigate a simple command. It makes the simplest of commands difficult, even turning the TV on & off. I hope that I can find an alternative remote control, but this remote just adds frustration to what should be a pleasurable viewing experience. So, in summary, a great Smart TV by Samsung, with the worst remote ever made. Come on Samsung, you can do so much better.

Small but powerful! I was looking for an inexpensive smart TV for a small bedroom and this fit the bill perfectly. It looks great mounted to the wall. Easy to connect to the internet and over the air antenna.

Use it in my home office, super light, easy to mount on wall. Has all the apps you could want! Sound is fine. Only downfall I see is that it doesn’t have an aux out, does have optical out for sound so to hook it up to a speaker you need to order an adapter. Picture is super clear! Definitely worth the price, especially if you plan on streaming your content! Samsung make great TVs, refrigerators, not so much!

Easy to set up, great, clear picture, color is awesome. Can’t say enough good things about this tv. I love it! It’s just the right size for my sun room.

I purchased this tv for my bedroom and am now using it for my computer monitor. The primary monitor out of three. It has a wonderful picture and I hooked it up to a Samsung soundbar thought the HDMI arc channel and it works great. It broadcasts my tablet screen and can be controlled with my phone. Everything works wonderfully. My only thing is I wish it had bluetooth built in but there is a usb port in the back that you can buy a little 15 dollar bluetooth usb plug-in for it and then it's bluetooth capable but honestly I don't use the bluetooth part except for that I put a keyboard and mouse for the tv specifically on it because the tv has a browser built in
