Get Over Here
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Story Another point of surprise for me here. Story mode actually feels like such. You go through a Mortal Combat Tournament and its plot twists while playing as all of the "good guys" and some "bad guys turned good". The story itself was enjoyable, slightly unpredictable (less so the more familiar you are with MK) and the cut scenes alone are about 2 hours long. Even though there's no "choice" or "multiple endings" it still makes you want to replay it several times, and the currency rewards (to unlock extra content) is quite substantial in story mode. Game play Plays like MK but better! The feeling is all there and you will easily remember the game you're playing but everything runs smoothly, the controls are very responsive and all of the "cool moves" are there, along with Fatalities, Stage Fatalities and Baby Finishers. Mini games like Test your Might/Sight/Strike/Luck are addictive and fun. Challenge Tower mode offers you 300 challenges, often unfair and messed up, like fighting without your head (disabled head moves of course…poor Jung Lao…), to fighting upside down, or having a slot machine decide randomly what will be disabled for that match…All of which will give you a sense of accomplishment; and if the challenges are too hard for you, you can "buy them out" with game currency and skip the challenge altogether. Use the game currency in the Krypt to buy new outfits, concept art and new fatalities for your characters. View all you unlocked in the Nether realm (yes, they love their K's….) Characters You get the entire roster, you get to see what they're about and what they fight for in Story mode and you will even get some insight into them with the individual endings in Ladder Mode; not very deep unless the ending is about them falling into a pit, but of a higher quality than expected from a MK game. Graphics/Settings I was actually surprised by the graphical quality of this title. The blend of 2D and 3D was very well accomplished. It stays true to its roots but it feels updated and polished. Sound Pretty decent, mostly what you've been used to hearing at the latest MK games. Mostly background music, it doesn't stand out but it will not annoy you either. Conclusion Mortal Combat Complete Edition is a great game overall and this coming from someone who has been a loyal MK fan. The game looks great, plays great, there's lots of characters to choose from and lots to do. If you're a fighting game fan I would recommend you get this one.

Awesome version of a 90s classic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is a lot of fun, especially for those of us who grew up with MK in the 90s. Game comes with a "challenge tower" that has around 400 challenges if I remember correctly. There's a story mode which is really cool.. Cutscenes blend seamlessly into fights. Of course there is also the classic arcade mode. Lots of unlockables and extras, and all of the characters you know and love from the MK series are here. The game also has online features but I haven't used those enough to comment on them. As for downsides, I feel like the 2D-style fighting might not be enjoyable for some. The graphics are all 3D but I call it 2D-style because there's no side-stepping or anything like that. For fans of classic MK it feels right but those who didn't grow up with it may feel like it's lacking. Also the game can be pretty cheap sometimes, but what fighting game isn't at least occasionally? Definitely a great buy for MK fans, or fans of fighting games in general if you don't mind the 2D-style fighting.

Great game with all DLC included
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For everything you're getting -- an excellent and exceptionally nostalgic fighting experience with DLCs included -- at a valuable price, Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition has to be one of the easiest purchases in your collection. It's not a special edition as much as it is a thoughtful, tailor made buy for anyone who hasn't already purchased the game or the DLCs. For casuals or traditional kombatants, no one could go wrong with it, it's the best in the franchise.

Best MK
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.MK Komplete Edition is a powerful package. From the story mode, challenge tower and various versus options this is THE MK game to own. The fighting mechanics are extremely balanced and the roster of fighters to choose from is top notch. Komplete Edition also comes with all the DLC characters and costumes. If you haven't picked this up already, what are you waiting for?

MK9
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned this game when it first came out and had a ton of fun. A few months later I sold it. Fast forward 4 years later and i decided to get back on the MK train. This is a great single player experience. The ladder matches, tower matches and story are well done. After owning Injustice i am enjoying MK even more. Highly recommended.

Nostalgia
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mortal Kombat was one of the first games I owned for my SEGA GENESIS. I love it. The characters are all there. The tag team, ladder, story, and online playing are really fun. My favorites are the Story Mode and One on One. Playing against my little sister brings back memories of when we were young. Of course, I still always win. LOL : )

The Best of Mortal Kombat all in one place!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have enjoyed the Mortal Kombat game since it was an arcade game. This game is great because it includes all the characters from the original game as well as introducing some other characters you may be familiar with, such as Freddy Krueger. If you enjoyed any of the Mortal Kombat series then you will definitely enjoy this game!

Mortal Kombat!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok so the game never really changes, its a fighting game, built on gore and killer moves. We have all fallen in love with some of the characters like sub zero or scorpion. The graphics are better than ever, the controls are semi smooth. I'm not the best at fighting games but I always get alittle enjoyment out of them.
