Wireless Charging Pads, Stands & Mounts
(3)Why use a wireless charger for phones?
While most people are familiar with using a cable and a wall charger to charge their smartphone battery, wireless charging is becoming increasingly common. With a wireless charger, you reduce the number of charging cables you have in your home or office. Most cable-free options are either in the form of a wireless charging stand or a wireless charging pad.
Going wireless with your phone charger can also free up your phone for other connection devices. For example, a pair of rechargeable earbuds or a USB cable used to sync the phone with a computer can be used where a conventional charging cable would otherwise be plugged in. This gives you the option of performing other cable-dependent tasks while your phone charges.
Wireless iPhone chargers vs. wireless Android chargers.
Most wireless charging methods work for both iPhone and Android smartphones. Qi (pronounced “chi”) charging pads were developed for Android and did not work on earlier iPhones without a special phone case, but iPhone 8 and later are Qi enabled.
For iPhone or Apple Watch users, there are many shared options, such as a charging stand for phones and Apple Watches. Some charging stands and stations use MagSafe magnetic technology and can conveniently be placed on a desktop for easy access.
No one wants to miss an important text or lose access to applications like navigation maps or music streaming due to a dead battery. While external batteries are an excellent backup charging device, they still require cables. A wireless charger ensures that you can keep your phone’s battery level up, whether you’re on the go or at home, while maintaining simplicity and convenience.
