    Bought a new washing machine. A few months later its recalled for various defects but the manufacturer offerd a refund. All they required was proof of replacement purchase and the serialized I.D plate off the back of the recalled unit. Bought the replacement washing machine from Best Buy along with its delivery, installation, and the haul away of the old unit. The installer assured me that as soon as the old unit was removed he would pop the I.D plate off and leave it on the lid of the newly installed unit. As soon as the installer left I realize he didn’t leave the plate. I could still see him driving away so I immediately called his cell phone, having his number from when he called me an hour earlier needing help finding my house. He didn’t answer so I called his office. The nice lady who answered assured me that she would relay the message as soon as he got back. I started getting worried by the next afternoon since nobody bothered to call me back. So i reached out again calling the installers cell, no answer. I called the office again and was now informed that they couldn’t help me in any way. Apparently it would be impossible to track down my old unit that had been removed from my house less than 24 hours before. With no serialized I.D. plate I couldn’t get the refund for the recalled unit. Spent the next several months paying off what two washing machines, one of which I no longer had. This review probably wont get posted as the review guidlines say not to review delivery, install, or customer service issues. But in this instance the product I’ve been asked to review is the “have your installer haul away or recycle your old appliances” ,that I foolishly paid extra for, I would think that guideline wouldn’t apply in this case. Needless to say, I’ve had to purchase all my appliances since then elsewhere. Living in a three story house, the delivery, install, and haul away service is more of a requirement than an option.

    No show on three different days

    I ordered a new flat screen LCD TV from Best Buy because they offered a service to haul away my old TV. First, they scheduled the delivery and the haul away on two different dates. They said they were too busy to do the haul away on the same date. That seemed unusual, but I said it was OK since the delivery would be relatively quick. The first haul away window of 12PM to 4PM came and went. I called. They told me to keep waiting, they might come later. At 7 PM I checked again. They said to keep waiting, it might come as late at 9PM. At 9 PM I called again and they said, well, must not have made it to your house (which of course I knew since I'd been waiting around for 9+ hours). They said to wait a day and then reschedule. After a day, the online system said that I couldn't reschedule. I would have to call in to reschedule. After waiting 45 minutes on hold, they said that Best Buy couldn't do anything about it, I would have to call the trucking company who hadn't bothered to show up to reschedule. I called the haul-away company and they said they would be out the next day. Their window came and went. I called back. They said they couldn't make it (again). I called back and spent nearly 1 hour talking with Best Buy to see if anyone could provide the haul-away service for my old TV. It is not an unusual size or weight. It's a 46 inch flat screen TV that weighs less than 100 pounds including the stand. They said that someone would be back in touch with me. Last Monday someone called me and scheduled again (third time) for 4 PM to 8PM today. It's now 8PM today and no one has shown up. I called Best Buy and they said the haul away company has marked it as "need to reschedule". So for a third time, I have waited at home 9+ hours for a haul away that never appeared. It is now more than two weeks since they originally said they would take my old TV away. Still nothing done. I will never buy from Best Buy again!!!

    This dishwasher is fantastic, so much better than the Profile we had before. Really quiet. But more than anything, I must give Kudos to Best Buy. I had originally ordered from Lowes. After checking out, i get prompted to call Lowes to arrange delivery. Hassle, but called - then found out i had to wait a week because it was special order. Ok, but website said next day installation. Waited a week - nothing. Then called multiple people to track down, and finally find someone who says they can deliver following week. Fine, i guess. But then get call back saying that (although my order included a haul off fee), I would need to order installation to have the haul off happen. Ok, how much? $120. Ok, fine, i just need dishwasher, let's do it. Response, "ok, you need to come into the store to sign the paperwork, and then after you sign paperwork, we will arrange delivery and installation." You've got to be kidding. What is the point of an online order if I have to come in? Why not tell me at getgo? So, I click on Best Buy. Literally within five minutes i had the dishwasher order and installation scheduled to occur within three business days. And installers showed up right on time, were AWESOME and the best part? Installation was free and dishwasher cost same as Lowes. I own 27 rental properties and have always used Lowes for appliances. NEVER again. Best Buy is awesome.

    Installation and haul-away service TERRIBLE

    With our recent clothes washer purchase, I opted to purchase the haul-away service and installation. Best Buy contracts this delivery out to a 3rd-party. The "technician" was rude and smelled of body odor. In addition to the lack of professionalism, he damaged 13 ceramic tiles in our laundry room when he moved the old washer out. I filed a claim within five minutes of him leaving and, over a month later, nothing has been done to resolved this issue. The 3rd-party company continues to tell me that they're still gathering information. I didn't realize this was an investigation that apparently takes months to conclude. Based on this experience, I would never again use Best Buy for an appliance purchase. I included a photo of one area of damage, so you can see for yourself. This is scratched through the surface of the tile. This is not a cosmetic scratch. Somehow *we* managed to move both a washer & dryer in there ourselves without scratching the floor, but the "professional" apparently couldn't. Pathetic.

    Be careful with this service promise! I ordered a 60" LG TV, so you can imagine I was looking for some help getting it out of the box and basic set up as it says would be provided on the online order. They also state they will take all packaging away. The day mine was delivered it was delivered by one guy, he told my wife "all i do is deliver TV", left it in the living room in the box and walked out!! When i got home i immediately called Customer Service where I reached someone again with low grammatical skills and he called "the Warehouse" and then came back on and said, " when they only have one driver that is all they can do, they can't set it up so they leave it. The Warehouse will call you in a few minutes and schedule a redo". A what? And, of course that did not happen and after 5 days has still not happened. i wound up paying someone else to come help me install the TV and I cleaned up the packaging. Sorry BB, you might and I say might have good prices, but your service promises and execution are horrific!

    They were very quick, efficient, & thorough. I already had the old one cleaned, pulled out, & ready to be hauled away. Being this was Fr. doors, it was considerably wider. They were very careful getting it thru the door. Then we got to the kitchen...I had already measured the opening to make sure it fit, which it would with just barely a little to spare. I had only measured across the floor part of the opening. I noticed that they measured bottom, AND the middle AND top of the opening. They said nothing! Just started maneuvering the beast in! DRUMROLLLLL!!!!! I am watching & suddenly holding my breath! The bottom measurement was the LARGEST measurement; the middle & top were the smallest! Hold breathe a little longer...then....WHEEEWWW! They somehow managed to very slowly & cautiously get the thing in!!!!! There is LITERALLY no ability to get even a piece of paper between the sides of the fridge & the walls of the cupboards on either side. I do not exaggerate! But they did it & it is beautiful! Tried to send pics but they wouldn't upload... It was fun writing about this part of the adventure, because I'm sure most folks don't think that much about that aspect. And they did so darn good, & so deserve lots of praise!!! So there!!!

    Haul Away

    I was so upset with their service. i Upgraded my TV to 65", but before buying i went to the store (COLMA) and asked if they will haul away my old TV (Mitsubishi Big Screen TV WS-55908). I even showed the guy the picture of the TV. He said they will haul away my old TV for a price. So I proceeded to buy the 65" TV and paid for it, including the Haul Away for $14.99 and delivered to my house. They delivered the TV but they did not get the my OLD TV. They said that i should request for 3 guys coz its a big TV. So i called for rescheduling of the Haul Away and specifically requested for 3 guys. the schedule they gave me is for another 2 weeks. the day comes and i was surprised to see that they only sent 2 guys again. and they did not take my old TV away again and they said that i ask for a reschedule again. This is so frustrating. The guys that even went to our house said they will call their office so they can send for another people, but they just left and i tried calling their number (510) 963-8358, but they are not answering my calls. So thats what they call CUSTOMER SERVICE !@#$%^&*(

    Check the level before you let them leave

    This is an installation review. I had a freezer installed and the installer guys breezed in dropped off the unit assembled in the truck and then wanted me to sign. They said that they didn't want to get the unit dirty so they didn't pull off the door film. Well they installed the handle over the film, so I had to remove it before I could get the film to come off and it is a pain getting the film off elsewhere. Don't let me get away with that. There was tape all over inside the unit too, and I think I'm missing the manual. there is none to be found. Finally, the unit is completely not leveled. Two opposite corners are high so it wobbles when opening the door AND it is high in back so any weight on door will mean it won't stay closed. Best Buy wanted to send someone out in a week and a half. I told them if it wasn't this week I'd be returning the unit.
