Hey Michael. Geek Squad Protection does not cover the labor fee of installing an SSD into your laptop. However, this protection plan will cover accidental damage and handling (ADH) along with a couple of other use cases. It does not cover services and labor fees not associated with repairs or replacement. Typically, the protection plan begins at the point of purchase with the device, and will last for the duration of whichever plan you purchase. If you are looking for something that does help with labor fees, consider looking into Best Buy Totaltech. At $199.99 a year, it provides both a year of protection to start as well as a plethora of free or discounted services from the geek squad.
