I'm not sure which warranty you are talking about. But my fan was broken, and I had to go through the process of sending it to Dell and waiting a bit to get it back, nothing major, customer service was excellent; It didn't cost me a dime! They even sent me the packaging, labels and all. If you are talking about the Best Buy / Geek Squad warranty, my understanding is they too cover everything...
