“Son spilled water on his chromebook and he didn't tell me until a week later. It won't turn on. When I plug it in to charging cord a light on the side lights up but still won't start up Ive tried a Hard Start up Still nothing. Is it ruined?”

Yes sounds like the motherboard went out sorry do you have a warranty on it? You can try to see if it's covered under warranty protection hopefully you purchased a warranty so hopefully it can be replaced
