• I do not know if you can switch brands, but you can definitely upgrade to a different Fitbit. As of Sept. 2018 this warranty is no longer available, so lucky you have it on this one!

• Yes, you can. what they will do is give you a gift card for the price paid o the original transaction. You can use that gift card for anything in the store. if its like what happened to my printer they will make you re-purchase a new protection plan.
