• If it is Logitech mouse with the orange unifying symbol on the bottom, you can buy a white mouse with unifying symbol and it should work. However you may need to download the unifying software from logi.com to make the new mouse and your current keyboard connect to the new or old receiver. Recommend you use the current receiver and keep the new one as a spare.

• Yes, that should be no issue if the mouse is inoperative and still covered within replacement period.
