“We have a GE microwave PEM31sm4ss and it just died this week. It currently sits in a trim kit mounted on one side of a kitchen cabinet. if we replace the dead unit with a PEM31sf series microwave will it fit in the old trim kit?”

Hi ALKay- We certainly appreciate your loyalty! Trim Kits are not interchangeable. A trim kit consists of the trim frame, as well as ducts that encase and attach to the microwave inside the cabinet cut-out. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for that model. PEM31SFSS is compatible with Optional 27" Built-In Kit JX827SFSS and 30" Trim Kit JX830SFSS (sold separately).
