“I just purchased a GE microwave model JES1657SMSS to replace an old SpaceMaker II. I find this new model is meant only for countertop use. What similar model would fit in my cabinet dimensions 25"W x 15"H x 17.5"D and what trim kit?”

While there is not a specific replacement for the SpaceMaker II series models, we usually recommend the PEM31 series countertop models, as they have similar dimensions and can be built-in using a compatible trim kit. - Assuming you are looking for a Stainless Steel appearance, we would recommend the PEM31SFSS model, which can be installed using the JX827SFSS (27") or JX830SFSS (30") built-in trim kit.
