Hello KenSmiley - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. We're sorry you are having difficulty with the trim kit for your new microwave. The PEM31SFSS accepts the JX827SFSS trim kit. A base pan is included with the trim kit. The base pan is approximately 24" x 10.8" x 1.9". The cutout dimensions required are 15" high x 24-7/8" wide x 16" deep.
