“Hello, Our old microwave PEM31SM4SS died. GE told me the newer version PEM31SFSS would fit our old trim kit, which it doesnt. This new trim kit says I need a depth of 15". Is this correct? The space is only 12.5" deep. Is there another I should order?”

I had the same problem. The new trim kit sticks out farther than the old one, but when installed it fits great!

When installed with the trim kit, a 16" minimum depth is required with receptacle outside cabinet.
