“I just purchased a GE microwave model JES1657SMSS to replace an old Spacesaver. The cabinet dimensions of the opening are 25"W x 15"H. Will this work? Also, what are the dimensions of the trim itself at top, bottom, and sides.”

It is manufactured for countertop installation only. The dimensions of this trim kit are 16-1/2" x 26-7/8", but for future reference you should note that trim kits are model specific.
