“Purchased refrigerator in July 2022. Took Geek Squad 5 year extended warranty. July 2023 refrigerator became unrepairable. Replacement refrigerator delivered. Expected balance of the 5 year warranty to be transferred. NOT! Spent 400 for 1 year warranty?”

Contacted GE after the replacement refrigerator was delivered. They told me they would of replaced the refrigerator, the only cost would be the delivery cost. Contacted Best Buy and they told me that if I excercised the GE replacement not the best-buy replacement they would have extended the warranty. Nice to know after the fact. Curious…. I bet happy senior who responded to my question is a employee of Best Buy? so knowledgeable … Bottom line the $ 400 I paid for piece of mind was a rip off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately the warranty does not transfer to replacement but, with no warranty, you would have had to pay for whole new refrigerator. I also got the 5 year warranty and hope I never have to use it. It’s still worth it to me.
