Hello Hummingbird86 - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and we are happy to help you. The cabinet cutout required for both the 27" and the 30" trim kit for this microwave is the same. It is: 16-3/4" high x 25-1/2" wide. The 30" trim kit has an exterior dimension of 19-1/8" high x 29-3/4" wide. The 30" trim kit has an exterior dimension of 19-1/8" high x 26-3/4" wide. You would need the 30" trim kit and may have to check with a cabinet maker to see if they had adjust the opening accordingly. We hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
