The switch isn't supposed to turn on each device. That's what you need to do. It's supposed to sense which one is on and display its picture on your TV. If there's more than one on, it takes the first one. But you need to turn on/off the devices yourself.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Check the hdmi cable is plugged in good. I had to unplug and replug in several times to get good connection. I also have to switch between the #1 indicator and other switches then go back to the #1 to get it to cut on.

When you turn on a device, the switch auto-detects and switches for you. Usually no output to the TV or audio is the result of your TV not auto-detecting your input. Check you settings for HDMI input ports and set the port to auto-detect, or manually switch the TV/audio to that port.
