• Power adapter probably gone bad from an electrical surge or heat.

• Depends on how much you use the product, it can wear out fast or slow. What I would recommend is try a different port on the TV and see if that works. If not, than you might need a new box, Changing out the chords will not do much, but changing the box will fix that issue. Yes you might be out of $69. but, you will have it all working out.
