I have 4-Port HDMI Switcher and using with Amazon Firestick and DirecTv. Unfortunately the switcher automatically switches back to one and will not stay when manually selected using the remote or the button on switcher. All ports tried. null

I plugged my HDMI switcher into HDMI 2 of the TV and plugged my DVD player and my Chrome Cast device (similar to FireStick) into the switcher.
When I get ready to cast a show or movie I choose the source (mine is HDMI 2) for the TV and then cast. 
TV HDMI 2 Plugged into switcher Port 4
My Chrome Cast device is plugged into the switcher Port 3.
DVD Player is plugged into switcher Port 2
Nothing plugged into Port 1 of the Switcher

I assume you joined the Firestick to your wireless network.. Just asking.

Refer manual and go to TV settings
