You do have to use the remote or just hit the button on the device itself. Mine works automatically, but if you have two devices on, there is no way fort the switch to know which one you want.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Try getting a Logitech universal remote. That's the only way I was able to get rid of the "remote relay race" I was performing each time I wanted to change inputs. Sorry, I know it stinks.
