A:AnswerADH stands for Accidental Damage from Handling.
The easiest way to have a basic understanding of coverage of these types of plan is to ask, "How does the manufacturer intend for this product to be used? Accidental damage that happens as a result to their intended use is typically covered (outside of specifics to specific products). Any sort of damage that happens as a result to use that is not intended by the manufacturer is likely not covered. Laptops aren't meant to be used in bathtubs or in the pool, so submersion isn't covered (at least since I last checked), however drinking around your laptop, a "portable" computer, is expected. This is why spills and drops are covered.
Just don't throw your electronics. That is never covered. Abuse, use outside of manufacturer's intent, or disassembly.
Common coverage-
Battery replacement
Cord/charger replacement
Pixel burn in (there are specifics to this)
Power Surge
No Lemon Policy
A:AnswerI don't think so...It's not a warranty plan it's a coverage plan like having insurance protection on it for a year if I'm not mistaken Best Buy will let you cover items not bought through them and that may be a few years old. I would call or chat with Geek Squad to get a definite answer.
A:AnswerNo. I purchase a warranty on my laptop a year ago Had to take it to Best Buy to be repair and was very disappointed and upset The protection plan I thought was so great didn't fix my laptop Really I just wasted my money if you can I suggest you live with damage and cancel you protection plan it is not how it use to be Now a rip off Hope this help
A:AnswerWhy wouldn't you take it back to the store for an exchange or a refund? That's what they're going to do for you anyway if something was sold to you that is defective/non-functional?
A:AnswerI would assume probably not but, you could just call best buy itself and they would be able to answer that for you, though with how long ago this was asked, you probably already know. Hope things went in your favor. Just wanted to try out answering a question. Stay safe and good luck.
A:AnswerWe purchased an Asus gaming laptop for my son this last Christmas and when I was offered the plan options by the BestBuy employee he told me only the 2 year plan can be extended. I'm not sure for how long, but I would verify with a BestBuy employee just to make sure.
