well when i purchase my sony camera they told me also will be covered under the warrantee for accidental damage... like if my 5 years old daughter dropped the camera and it broke or like ur situation the wind knocked it down and it broke.... those word cameout of the best buy employee when i was paying for it.....so i don't see a problem call the squad customer service.....
