• Regular protection is probably manufacturer’s warranty. They will require you to send the item back. Geek squad you just go back to Best Buy and they will replace it right then and there.

• I think total protection is a subscription based plan that lets you insure all you products for as long as you keep making the payments I think once a year. 4 year is just for 4 years and when you use it you have to pay for it again. I find it cheaper to just pay for the 4 year but that’s just me.
