The person that purchased AND the person you wish to give it to need to be BOTH on the phone line (geek squad #) at the same time to do this over the phone....OR both parties need to be at a Best Buy location at the same time to do the transfer. That was my experience just now 9/21/2026.

It’s very easy. 
The Sales Person can transfer the remainder of your Extended Warranty to your new Appliance.
