The smart part will mean that the projector will have Wifi and Bluetooth capabilities. So you will be able to connect to the internet directly on the projector to use the many streaming apps on there already. You will need to connect the Chromecast directly to the projector's HDMI port if you wanted to use it. It will not affect the Bluetooth or wifi of the projector since it will be completely separate from the Chromecast.
