It can get warm, but even after 3 hours of heavy gaming, it does not reach dangerous temperatures and does not experience thermal throttling. You can always repaste the CPU (WARNING: Voids Warranty), put a Laptop Cooler under it, and tinker with the Nitro Sense fan controls. I found all of those unnecessary.
