My Acer's screen brightness & speakers did much better than I expected when taking it outdoors in bright light. I could see & read the screen well. After experiencing barely being able to read anything on my cell phone in bright outdoor light, I expected the same from a computer screen. However I was greatly surprised. The sound can be raised much higher than on my previous laptop. You could use earphones if the outdoor noise was too high.
