Yes it does cover the installation. I chose to have the kit shipped to me in advance so it was here when they arrived. You could also purchase the kit with the main order and have them bring it with the TV.

It's a joke that Best Buy doesn't clearly point that out online when you pay for the service - at least it should tell you that you *may* need it. The installers carry a different unit that they charge $100 for. So purchase the $70 unit ahead of time.
