The sound in these is /really good/ for bone conduction headsets. Midrange to highrange is very clear, and just pops, voice is perfectly clear, and the volume is quite decent. The downside is that bone conduction headsets are not great for bass. I estimate the sound cuts out at about 40Hz, compared to 20 Hz for normal headphones (and 5 Hz for good ones). The 'speakers' may be able to do lower frequencies, but then it has to go through your tissue, which tends to muffle sounds. You will get better sound quality on good normal headphones. On the upside, since they don't cover your ears you can still hear everything. This makes them a godsend for when you're biking, running, or walking, because you won't be one of those completely oblivious dopes who can't hear anything around you. Plus, headphones or earbuds can get kind of sore or sweaty after a while (especially while doing active stuff), but these just sit in front of your ears and I can wear them for hours without getting tired of them. I turn up the bass boost a bit, which helps, and accept a little less bass for the freedom.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First, they don’t have any small parts to lose, cords to fray or get snagged, and they’re lightweight with really good sound. They don’t bounce around when you workout and are shielded from sweat. They’re ideal for someone with small ear holes who has problem with the “one size fits most” earbuds or over the ear headsets. They technology of bone induction has been used for many years to help people with hearing loss hear sounds. I’m extremely happy with my pair.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For me, it is the ability to work, listen to music, podcasts, or audiobooks while also having situational awareness of my surroundings. I can still hear everything else around me. If you want to block out noise, put in earplugs. If you are in a office and want to hear a phone ring, or hear someone speaking to you, you're able to do just that without having to remove over the ear headphones, in ear earbuds, or turn down music from your computer or speakers. Are these the best quality listening device? No. You aren't getting the deep bass. You aren't getting crisp clear highs. You're getting a solid 7-7.5 out of 10 for audio. If you are wanting to relax and listen to music, then use your bookshelf speakers at home, or your home theater, or higher-end headphones. I would say these are an excellent way of listening to music, podcasts, or audiobooks while maintaining awareness of the environment. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For me the sound is great. I really can't hear certain frequencies with them I can. Also I don't have to pretend I heard someone on the phone anymore I can understand what they are saying. I don't listen to much music. But it's well worth just a good phone conversation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sound quality isn't there. Can't compare to In ear buds. These are aimed for people that podcast or just want a little music as they go about their day and still are able to hear people or their soroundings. Mic works great for me and I drive a truck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well, they are bone conduction, so if open ear headphones are important to you, this is a good way to go. You can hear car horns, people talking to you, etc. while wearing them, or you can use the optional ear plugs if you don't want the noise at certain times. I do both ways depending on the setting. I also love how lightweight these are. As far as sound quality goes, in-ear buds are better, but I can't tolerate them. They cause ear fatigue/pain, whereas these do not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are some concessions made to use bone conduction headphones. If you are aware of them and can accept them then you'll probably like them. First and most importantly is sound quality. You will hear people gushing about how good the sq is. These are the people who have never used top quality headphones. $79 earbuds sound amazing to these people. In reality the sound quality from bone conduction is abysmal, dare I even say wretched. That's point number one but let's look further. Secondly, as most everyone agrees, bass is very poor. It's almost non-existent. This is a limitation of the design and is universal. Lastly the volume can not be cranked up to high levels. The transducers will overdrive and buzz on your head. Very annoying. So what are these things good for? Well audiobooks and podcasts are fantastic on them. Other than that not much. If you want to have some light music playing in the background as you exercise, cycle, skate, run, etc then they're fine for all of that and that is actually their intended use profile. They are very well built and the design is top notch just rest assured if you are seeking an amazing sound experience you will be sorely disappointed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There’s definitely better audio devices if you are looking for bass. These are just another way to listen to things, great if you need to be able to use your ears at the same time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If by quality listening, you mean high fidelity sound, these will disappoint you. They are convenient, comfortable, and have good but not great sound.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.None, buy the trekz titanium at $75, they are little bit heavier, but have the same sound quality for less.
