It depends on the size of the photos. We recommend scaling photos down to no larger than 1600x1200 or even 1024x768 for this 8 inch frame. If you do that then you can likely get 1 thousand or so. Be sure to leave some memory for the operating system. These are similar to computer memory. If you fill it up then the frame will slow down and eventually not work because there will be no RAM.
