I found that a couple of my high end smart TV's don't even have earphone output(s), 3.5mm.( kinda baffling) I have a 32" TV I use and I use this transmitter linking by bluetooth to Jabra elite 65 earbuds. The trick is the Jabra earbuds have an app which allows you to link to the transmitter where many others don't link. They're a bit pricey but it thoroughly solved my issue.
