• Yes. If your tv has an external audio output. But be aware some devices disconnect the internal speakers when you plug in your device. My portable multiplayer speakers are disconnected when any device is plugged into the external audio port.

• I put in a Y adapter on the the RCA cables between the cable box and the tv, works good.
