“So, I unplugged the Aluratek from the headphone jack, and plugged into the Aux input port. The device is paired to my smartphone... but still no sound comes out of my speakers when I play a YouTube song. Any ideas?”

Hey Bubba, just saw your question when I was sending in a review. So the device works from a source that produces sound like a TV or Desktop computer or iPad that is the sound source and has an output jack that is 1/4". Your headphone port is an output source so, if you have a sound source feeding it from radio dvd, tv..whatever and are wanting to source it to a bluetooth enabled listening device, then it should work. The Aux input port for sure won't work because it's an input...this device is strictly for output. Pairing your phone won't work as it's again the output and the headphone is also an output. So the deal is the Aluretek is for an output source that does not have bluetooth built in to pair to an input put device that does have bluetooth...speaker, headset...Hope this helped.
