“When plugging in microwave for the first time, it does not power on. Outlet was just properly installed by electrician and has power but microwave doesn't do anything. Bad microwave or is there something we can troubleshoot?”

The installation hooked up and very simple to work. You have no lights or anything, You may want to call Best Buy and let them walk you through.
