• This one does not have to vent outside. It can blow back out the front.

• It can be internal or vented outside. There is a plate on top where the fan is that comes off. Just take that plate off, loosen some screws in the back that hold the fan in place and then the fan can be rotated to the correct configuration for your needs. It's all in the directions.
