No. Not anymore than any of the newer types of refrigerators. Just the occasional turn on and off and defrost sound.

Hi Suzie, with this Amana - 18.7 Cu. Ft. Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator. The Refrigerator noise has been reduced over the years. Due to this reduction, you may hear intermittent noises from your new refrigerator that you did not notice from your old model.
