Please try again later.open box most likely is the product was delivered to a house, then they found it would not fit, or had some sort of cosmetic defect, or some other minor concern, it was taken back to the warehouse, repaired, but now the protective wrappings are gone, or any defect corrected. Or it could be the display model from the store's showroom, with any appliance it has no concern, since the unit was never in operational mode. Very safe purchase. Years ago, a floor model TV might be considered a chance purchase, since the unit had been on for 12-14 hours a day, and those TV's used a cathode ray tube, which could degrade over a period of time, but the newer TV's don't operate the same way, so that shouldn't be an issue anymore. An open box is a good value.
