“Just got. Oven light turns on/off with control panel switch but light doesn't work when oven door is opened. I don't even see a switch for it on the chassis. The manual says "The oven light will come on when the oven door is opened." Is my switch missing?”

No. It maybe just that unit. Mine works fine. Light stays on when I open the door. Once the light button is pressed the light stays on until you hit the button to turn it off.
