This would replace your fire stick. It's also 4k, where your fore stick is only 1080.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I replaced my Fire Stick with the Cube. Glad I did. Was using the Fire Stick with a Harmony Hub and couldn't get everything working. Took them both back. After some initial setup problems with the Fire Cube, Amazon helped me and its working great now!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will of course replace it. When a company creates a new product they want you to buy the new so they can make more money. Don't be fooled the content of this product will likely contain a slightly newer set of software changes, as it it a different piece of hardware. If your expectiby some miraculous difference in the content you will be disappointed. If you continue to update your fire stick like I do then the hardware has little to do with the software's function. I continue to be pleased with my four year old original 25$ purchase.

Each appliance has a distinctive purpose in the enhancement of our entertainment viewing pleasure. We are prolific travelers with 30 Princess cruises under our belt and having just returned from a cell signal-sparse are area of Wisconsin, Rhinelander. We had good WiFi with Spectrum but our host had just basic Cable TV service. Our WiFi direct enabled Samsung Galaxy S8 and S9's enabled perfect cell phone calling thru WiFi. The Amazon FireTV Stick enabled all the network and live TV e.g. CBSAll Access ($99.00 /yer, and movies including with the pervasive access thru Amazon Prime ($119.00 /year) filled the bill, providing us with all the TV we needed to feel like we were sitting in our Arizona Family room. Our very positive experience w/ Amazon Prime and the Echo plus, Echo and Echo DOT - Alexa combination, compelled us to jump on the pre-release offer of the Alexa enabled Amazon FireTV Cube which adds Alexa voice capability to our 70" Vizeo TV and Cox Cable Contour appliances. It's our intent to replace the Echo DOT in the home office with the Echo plus and move the Echo DOT to the garage. (The Linksys 3-unit Velop mesh WiFi network) provides our 2200 sq ft home and 1,800 sq ft patio with pervasive WiFi, incl the garage area. Enabling the Music Everywhere feature will now include the garage, completing the replacement of the 7-zone Onkyo A/V sound system for single room or whole house music ambience, incl our daily at 4:30PM happy hour. Comment: music has had a huge link to our past with memories galore saturating each and every music selection; it's exactly the reason we're together 38plus years as our daily happy hour music 'fix' reminds both of us of the beautiful memories we've created together - thanks to the FireTV stick, we can take the music with us and have our happy hour events wherever we are. Comment 2: With the ZigBee mesh network radio and hub built into the Echo plus, and WiFi riding the Linksys Velop Router/WiFi system, we have perfect Alexa enhanced home automation e.g. Nest thermostat, lighting, security system creature comforts with WiFi back-load across CAT-6E Gigabyte inhome network, we have a perfect network storm of home entertainment - music and streaming live TV and Movies - across a self healing network, providing amazing persistent and pervasive enjoyment, home and while traveling with our $29.00 Amazon Fire Stick and Amazon Prime membership. Cable TV has lost it's special position as a live TV provider and is left with only creature comfort enhancements being replaced or augmented by streaming media.
