firesticks don't come with channels. They are apps similar to a smartphone. Firestick's come with access to apps such as Netflix, HBO, CNN etc. Amazon prime offers some free content but you have to subscribe to prime for most of it. Otherwise you can download the apps from the app store. Some apps require a subscription and some are free. If you would like an app similar to cable tv, their are apps like SLING TV. And then there is the Kodi app......you can search online for more details on Kodi.

The amazon fire stick has many available streaming apps. It does not have a channel line up like say the cable company.

You don’t get channels you have apps you download but you can purchase PlayStation cue or sling tv starting st $19.99 a month
