There are no channels . You download apps that you can link to your tv provider do access television. The only app that has television is Pluto tv. It’s someone dated but some pretty good Channels.

The fire stick doesn’t actually add channels, it gives you access to streaming sites like Amazon, Hulu, Netflix and others. I guess you can say that it makes your TV “smart”

This is a media player and it requires you to download apps to view various channels. You can view all that Amazon has to offer with your Prime membership. If you don’t have a membership you can still watch lots of content. There are apps like Pluto and Tubi TV that have lots of free channels. There are local channels that have apps and you can watch your local news and weather.
