“I have a smart TV connected to AT&T U-verse. I only watch a few channels, Local news, Fox News and Sports, Science Channel and others. How does this work for local channels. I am not interested in APPS. How will this work? Thanks”

I purchased an antenna for that. 20 buck average, plugs into the coaxial cable port on the tv and with fire stick or roku by choosing antenna. Simple and love it.

There is pre-installed Amazon Prime as well as Fire TV. It doesn’t take long for installation. I have found all of my channels for xfinity available with the exception of Ion. The picture is clear and you can stream in real time.
